Wired Rear-view Mirror

Just bought a Nissan Latio (Premium) recently. While going thru the interior, noticed some concealed wiring attached to the rear-view mirror. It can't be an auto-dimmer feature as the mirror has the usual handle to draw down to dim the mirror. Can anyone explain the presence of these wiring? Thanks.

Its the i-key sensor for the vehicle. Once the wire is out your i-key will not work and you have to manual crank and lock your vehicle.

Hey Latioboy, just to check, is the pick up speed of your car slow? Mine is especially slow when going up slope.
