Thinking of doing it before my insurance renewal.... $50 [:p]

Car was manufactured in 2000.

7yr old windscreen [:p] Lots of scratches, etc.

What do you guys think?

Time to have it replaced?

Or stick with it (if it ain't broken don't fix it)

Have such coverage since my first car ... premium will not be affected [:)]

if the scratches affect your driving then by all means get it changed. make it crack abit then claim insurance smile.gif.

my octy's 3yr old windscreen cracked after it hit a big stone at ns highway. it took only 6 hours to get it changed for free.

You're right... alot of scratches... plus visibility in the rain is really terrible even with new wipers ...

Guess I gotta check if there's stock of the windscreen in the first place as I guess the workshops will have to get them from CA in the end

ur car is insured by which company?

mine was insured by mitsui and got mine done up within a day at their authorised workshop(should be the one at sing ming autocare level 3, specialised in changing windscreens). i call them 10pm in the morning, push in my car ard 12pm and collected my car at 5pm.

Please note that the windscreen MUST have a damage and not scratches....and probably in the situation when the car is travelling and something hit it...in other situations are always have disputes.

Ivan, there are insurance policies that provide windscreen coverage without loading on the insurance [;)]

As for the windscreen itself, there are industry methods to facilitate the change of windscreen [;)]
