Wt_know Supersonic January 21, 2008 Share January 21, 2008 (edited) Total 20 items for $19.20 (approx $1 per item) Normal food court price is $0.50 per item. So, in a nutshell the price is either 'double' or 100% more expensive Did your friend know that Food Republic is not a 'normal' food court ? Maxus-MIFA9 Supersonic January 21, 2008 Author Share January 21, 2008 You might take a look at the crispy Tau Ke. (second items & last items on the receipt) first crispy Tau Ke at $3.00/- second piece crispy Tau Ke at 60c. Is this cheating......
Wanderer Clutched January 21, 2008 Share January 21, 2008 This is 1 reason y I do not eat Yong Tau Hoo at foodcourt. Coupled with their rental, their cost per price will be higher. That's y many of them have a min purchase order.. My current fave is still at Sin Ming and Kallang. Cheap and

Penthousepauper Clutched January 21, 2008 Share January 21, 2008 (edited) This food court is very very expensive.... I tried their Yong Tau Hoo and I regretted it 'cos it's nothing special. I also had a bowl of laksa for $12.00!!!!!!! He claimed to be from Depot Road... also nothing special. The actual Depot Road stall is now in Alexander Village and he charges only $6.00 (but no air-con), and he displayed a sign saying that they do not have any other stall elsewhere. So, don't be fooled by the signboard......... I tried the fried prawn noodle and the fried kuay teow in the Wisma Food Republic. It's lousy.
