EcoContinental tyres for Kangoo

Hi Guys,

 

Trying to change tyres for my company's kangoo. Last round we used Toyo and maybe around 30K the tyre went botak already. The old ecocontinental could last 40-50K I think.

 

So I went around looking for the "original" tyres but found that many places don't have. Went to the famous ubi road, LS and YBro can order in a few hrs time but they expect me to pay 1st in the morning then come back in the afternoon. It's a waste of time for me leh.

 

Went to stamford at machperson and they say no stock. But according to computer, their AMK branch have. So I went there, just to be told again that no stock. Computer stock is wrong. sigh!

 

Any one can let me know where I can find this tyre (or any other durable+good)? The size is 165/70/R14

 

Btw, I'm also using Toyo on my car. Found that its quite good grip but it wears off very fast.

hard to find 165/70

 

use 185/60/14

Have. But all japanese / korean brands which wears quite fast leh. And for this size, they are normally normal tyres that aren't durable.

 

For 185/60, my fuel efficiency will decrease.....

try bridgestone GR80. it lasted more than 60k km on corolla. you need to pump quite high pressure on the kangoo. 260 front and 340rear.

me on 185/70/R14 but FC still the same...

averaging 650km for a tank of 40L...on a mixture of city and highway driving in my 1.5dci kangoo

now 40L can only bring me 500+km only :(

really so tahan? Wah....the grip good or not? can't believe a tyre can last 60K unless it's all the way rear tyres.....

seems like I'm quite light footed? But no leh. I avg around 700km. mixture of daily traffic jams, maybe 20-30% highway? Maybe I don't have much crap in the van. Try to keep it light.

I avg pump 250 on all tyres. I saw on the ecoConti you can pump max 40PSI. But on the Toyo crap tyres, the max is only 34PSI. Meaning I cannot use it for the rear??

 

The GR80 can pump 340?

Why the big disparity? Kangoo is a very light vehicle. I wouldn't be surprised if it's lighter than a corolla.....
