I am trying to get air tickets for a holiday. Unfortunately, i'm a newbie at this. Coz most of the other flights are not arranged by me. Is it cheaper to go to the tour agency to get the tickets or go to direct website and book (e.g Singapore Airlines website https://www.singaporeair.com)? Bros, please advise...

I think it is about the same...i tot agency normally come in F&E package with accomodation.

U go singapore airline webbie book, faster. If u go thru agency, they take one or a few days to confirm with you sometimes...

maybe you'll like to say where you want to go?

Usually buying tickets directly from airlines is cheaper. But if you are inexperienced, you run a risk of screwing up your holiday.

Get from Singapore airline directly. You can secure the tickets faster. If u still have doubt, visit chinatown agencies and get quotations from a few. Then compare. U book now, promo comes later u also LL... but if u book later hoping promo will come, u run the risk of not getting any tickets also.... but August... if it is around national day period... it is hot period... becareful man...

Alternatively u can book from misatravel.com or zuji.com.

Or u can ask bank to book for you... if u r holding any credit cards, price may be diff but they come with travel insurance...

Neutral Newbie

just for info..

i went with my parents to bali last december after christmas (4D3N). no choice had to fly garuda, and the total cost for tickets (including Sin airport taxes) and accommodation is close to S$700 per person.

for the airport tax on bali's side is 150,000 rupiah per person.

If its just the tickets, online direct from Airline usually cheaper. Agency will add a admin fee on top of the online rate.

However, sometimes, agency do offer special "agent only" fare that you can't get online.

I recently got return ticket to BKK for $265 net on Thai Airway thru agency. Best deal online was like $295.

So, if you can spare the time, no harm checking out both. I usually will be surfing online checking the price and then call the agency at the same time.
