[laugh] The other day I saw a joker at Depot Rd ordered this burger with TWO beef patty, he must be thinking it was a small portion after seeing the single patty burger on display.

 

So after I had finished my dinner(his burger came b4 mine) he was still munching on the beef. I can see him breathing heavily thru his nose. [laugh]

 

When his slim gal friend sitting next to him saw that, she helped herself to a slice of beef and some fries and continued talking to her two other friends. He was still chewing on the beef. He haven touch his fries & coleslaw. Can see that he cannot tahan much longer.

 

My gf was observing me and she say I very bad, gloating on other ppl's agony. [laugh]

 

So for those guys out there who wants to order the botak burger, order the single patty even if u'r very hungry. Dun be gungho. It looks deceivingly small but it's f*cking filling.

i tink they quite over-rated for my taste. portion really quite big for me, they used to throw away alot of fries and people complained wastage of food, so now they cut down on the fries but if u still want that original portion, u can request for it, tink u can feed a family of 3 LOL

 

I tried AMK n TPY ones,

i prefer the italian pizza store beside the Botak Jones at TPY! that one better!!! really good have to try that bros!

U mean ashton Q? I think its becoz of media coverage. My friend father is a hawker. Den one fine day got this ST reporter say wanna feature his father shop. After publish, on tat very same day hyper long Q. Last time no Q, now need to Q. My friend say sporean r mad. Haha.

Either one has its own strength & weaknesses la. But I do prefer Ashton over Botak Jones. Ashtons at Serangoon Garden serves really good value for $ western fare

I tried the 3 layer one.. let's just say that some find it challenging, some can take up the challenge. [sly]

for burger, I prefer the one at Aston.. but comparing one at the range of $10 to $20, I would have to say the one at Hogs' breath is better and juicier..

 

Botak Jones didn't really use top grade beef to make the patty.

 

Aston have a good mix to make up the burger which is quite a nice change as well.

I tried both Botak Jones and Aston.

 

I like Aston ribeye steak.

 

My comment for botak jones is their food is better than those sell western food at market and coffeeshop. I like their sausage dish the best [:)]

Yeah, overated in terms of taste.

 

Portion big cos they also charge more than other typical western stall. However, must say they gotten their niche/fame by differentiating from the typical western food. That is gd marketing.

Food is good as its worth, but they operate in food centre. Often, there's long queue. If you want more french fries, you would need to tell them. In the past, many didn't finiz the fries and were wasted.
