Radio Frequencies

Hi bros and sis.. Just got my Accord JDM.. (Finally... ) But the radio comes in overseas frequencies.. ie. 76Mhz to 90Mhz... which is not in used in SG.. Any owner or anyone knows how to set the frequency to our local range?? Please Advice.. Thanks!!

Congrats on getting your new ride!

 

Regarding the different radio frequencies on JDM cars, I tot your dealer would have put in a frequency modulator for you to enable you to listen in to local radio stations? From what I understand, even with the modulator in place, you would not be able to tune in exactly to the local radio frequencies. For example, if you want to listen to Class 95.0 FM, you would most probably be approx. 10MHz lower (ie. 85.0 FM) etc.

 

The other alternative is to change the radio head unit of your car. You can probably try Kah Motor's accessories dept and see if they would sell you the radio head unit found in their Thai-made US Accord, which is similar to the JDM Accord's. I'm not sure if they are available since the US Accord is just launched. The last I checked with my SE at Kah Motor, I understand they do not sell the head unit as a separate item and even if they do, it would be very expensive.

 

So looks like the only option is probably to live with it.
