Engine Rev Went Hunting

Hi all,

Anyone experienced these before....Engine Rev hunting ie... goes up and down during idle...and it can be very high at start up (0- 3,000RPM). Guess it is the coil pack but will be most happy if someone can advise on the issue, how much i cost you to rectify and what was it. Thanks.

Anyway, battery went flat, probably due shorting somewhere and Gearshift bushing failed too (S$10 fix).

Hi,

I've never encountered it for my current ride but I've encountered it for my previous ride, sunny.

The engine rev went haywire after servicing and was only rectified after sending in to the AD workshop again. was told by the mechanic that the ECU need to be reset to rectify the problem.

Not sure if this can helps.

Thanks...possibly as the ECU is trying to learn too..but in your case, pardon me for saying, you might not want to believe the AD workshop.

Thanks.....guess that was what said often....Found out that this happened whenever the car "tripped" or whenever there is a heavy rain...the outcome was a "0" mileage and clock. But it cannot be replicated after a short while when driving. Hence, I went onto the net and found out that it is due to the ECU re-setting itself and required 10 mins of running....so I took the Battery off, wala....problem came back....so I concluded that it is not the throttle body.

Yes, it is time for Italian Timing....inlove.gifinlove.gifinlove.gif oh...bought the bushing for S$5.35 from Xin Zhong and completed the fix, felt like playing LEGO but used up my breakfast energy...

Oh...am very fed up with CAG today....wanted to over-charge me by telling me that my car uses 4.5 litres of Lub oil. Challenge him with the manual and ask him has they charge me before like this...time to talk to his boss.
