Sfhuang Clutched January 14, 2008 Share January 14, 2008 Came across a online video post of how to disable TRC/VSC on the IS 250 using a series of pedal steps. But I was wondering why the heck people would want to do that? Certainly disabling traction and vehicle stability controls will help a car get out of deep snow, but I don't understand why people would want to disable this safety feature in normal driving. Anyone care to enlighten me? ↡ Advertisement

Beng2 5th Gear January 14, 2008 Share January 14, 2008 The VSC/ESP should be disabled when one gets trapped in snow or something like that - or so it says in my car manual.

Yah, my manual states the same thing - that's why I was puzzled why anyone in Singapore would want to disable the supposed safety feature.
