Danzdanz Neutral Newbie May 31, 2003 Share May 31, 2003 hi people.... any idea which sub can perform in 5.5 cubic feet of space enclosure? wat size of subwoofer is suitable? ↡ Advertisement
Redliner_sg Neutral Newbie June 1, 2003 Share June 1, 2003 (edited) 5.5 is alot of space. Used to run 4x10" Rockford Fosgate Pro Series SPP104 in a ported 4.2 customed box, tuned to 40hz. That was when i was younger and crazy enough to do that, at the expense of boot space Edited June 1, 2003 by Redliner_sg

Redliner_sg Neutral Newbie June 2, 2003 Share June 2, 2003 Thats a good one!!!!!!!! Anyway, you could get by with a single sealed 10" i think, but that will be the bare minimum for it, and bigger will definately play better. Might be better off sounding with a sealed 8" without the extension. Hope this helps and lemme go continue laughing again
Danzdanz Neutral Newbie June 3, 2003 Author Share June 3, 2003 ya i know.... anyway i really have a hard time man.... thanks for advice..... but i think 8" is out.... wat long excursion 8" are around anyway ?
Redliner_sg Neutral Newbie June 7, 2003 Share June 7, 2003 If you can squeeze 0.66 cu/feet, you can get the 10" Kicker Solobaric in a sealed box Otherwise, 8" Kicker Solobaric in a sealed box will be more make it for 0.55 cu/feet Hope this helps

Msck Neutral Newbie January 9, 2006 Share January 9, 2006 Where did you get the Diamond cm3 from and what is the rated rms? I am also looking for a woofer that can squeeze into the smallest sealed box. Thanks
Yuhsuan Neutral Newbie January 9, 2006 Share January 9, 2006 If you have already bought your sub, well and good. But just in case you have not, you could also consider the Boston Pro 10.5LF sub. High quality bass from a 0.5 cu ft box.
Wbucket Clutched January 9, 2006 Share January 9, 2006 Why 8" is out? A 0.55 cuft can make a minmum ported box for a kicker L7 8". Although I keep wondering how it would sound.
Msck Neutral Newbie January 9, 2006 Share January 9, 2006 (edited) Is there any other woofer that can fit into a 0.5 cu ft box? My amp rated at 280 rms. Thanks Edited January 9, 2006 by Msck
Ivan0507 Neutral Newbie January 9, 2006 Share January 9, 2006 diamond cm3 10" will work very well in 1.0 to 1.2cuft with some filling.play low.
Ivan0507 Neutral Newbie January 9, 2006 Share January 9, 2006 try ID 10" or IDQ 10" will work very well with that.
Erwinseow Neutral Newbie January 10, 2006 Share January 10, 2006 I second bro Ivan . Even the IDQ 12 in has a recommended SEALED enclosure of .55-1 cu feet. http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/products_p...id=idq&type=sub It may meet ur requirements. ↡ Advertisement
