Yup.... confirmed in latest ESPN Soccernet report : "Rafa Benitez's position as Liverpool boss, already in doubt while his team lie 12 points behind leaders Manchester United, looks increasingly untenable. American co-owner Tom Hicks has admitted to reporters that he spoke to former Germany boss Jurgen Klinsmann about Benitez's job, labelling the former striker as an 'insurance policy'."

 

He told the Liverpool Echo: 'After George and I had our long and productive meeting with Rafa following the Manchester United match, we put all of our issues behind us and received Rafa's commitment that he wanted to stay with Liverpool.

 

'We never reached agreement on an option with Jurgen, and we are both pleased for him that he has a great opportunity to return to Germany and coach a great club team.

 

But report also said: "Klinsmann is no long an option, however, as he has agreed to take charge of Bayern Munich."

SAF should thank Roy Keane and his players for C.Ronaldo. It is them who told him to buy Ronaldo after playing with Sporting Lisbon in one of the matches many years ago.

Nope..it's not. It's after getting hell from C.Ronaldo during the match that his players told him (SAF) to buy C.Ronaldo. I believe this happened inside the dressing room after that match. I think C.Ronaldo is 19 or 20 years old that time.

 

If you remember about it, SAF bought C. Ronaldo not long after that Sporting Lisbon match. It must have been one of his quickest buy.

 

I still remember that C.Ronadlo was running circles around Giggs and we all know it is rare to have anyone to do that to Giggs

SAF oredi negiotating about the terms with S.Lisbon liao....
