Kelpie 2nd Gear January 3, 2008 Share January 3, 2008 Ok, I extracted this from another forum: "SINGAPORE: The tolls for all motorists at Tuas Second Link will be raised by between 10 cents and S$4.40 from 1 February. Motorcyclists will need to pay 10 cents more than the current toll of 60 cents. Cars will be tolled S$4.60 while vans and small lorries will be charged S$10.50. The largest jump is for big lorries which will have to pay S$

Kelpie 2nd Gear January 3, 2008 Share January 3, 2008 An unverified news from another forum: "Toll charges going to m'sia has increased... frm causeway toll charges now RM2.90 frm 2nd link 1st toll now RM10.30 (previously RM8.40) 2nd toll frm tmn perling now RM2.30 (previously RM1.80) _________________" Regards,
Adrianli Hypersonic January 3, 2008 Author Share January 3, 2008 I meant the RM20 which was supposed to be implemented early last yr one where their tourism minister say RM20 is nothing to SG drivers.
Kelpie 2nd Gear January 3, 2008 Share January 3, 2008 I meant the RM20 which was supposed to be implemented early last yr one where their tourism minister say RM20 is nothing to SG drivers. That one no "further" news liao. If they increase toll charges I don't see why they need to impose another RM20 again. In the report, it did says something like the hike is to correspond with an increase at the MY side for 2nd link. Correct me, if I'm wrong. Ahbengdriver 6th Gear January 3, 2008 Share January 3, 2008 frankly I dont think most SG drivers care. Its onlt M$20 or about S$8, an amount which can be easily offset by topping yr petrol in MY before returning to SG. Anyway the other day I also curious n tap their machine at the toll. The enick at the immigration station says 'not yet lah'
Sony 1st Gear January 3, 2008 Share January 3, 2008 no news is good news I think selling VCD and DVD make more money for them now
Sony 1st Gear January 3, 2008 Share January 3, 2008 You still got place to tap? that day hor, I saw that the machine have been removed
Manutd Clutched January 3, 2008 Share January 3, 2008 Bro, I think its not toll but entry permit. Toll u will pay after the immigration. This RM20 is pay at the Immigration counter. So most likely they will call it vehicle entry permit just like S'pore Garment used against their M'sian cars.
Adrianli Hypersonic January 3, 2008 Author Share January 3, 2008 I go in weekly to top up fuel but did not go in since 31st Dec 2007 because I dont wana pay the RM20. So I came here to check. If not yet implement, I'll be going in tis week again. My 3/4 tank can only pump 15L, so every cent counts.

Milo Clutched January 3, 2008 Share January 3, 2008 RM2.60 has increased to RM2.90 at JB Custom.
Kelpie 2nd Gear January 4, 2008 Share January 4, 2008 RM2.60 has increased to RM2.90 at JB Custom. Heng, it is just RM0.30 difference. RM0.30 when convert to S$, can't even go public toilets that require you to pay S$0.20 in Singapore. Regards,
Rev2redline Neutral Newbie January 5, 2008 Share January 5, 2008 yeah... heng only Malaysia side increase... RM$0.30 is still quite okay... At least they never increase to RM$20.. ↡ Advertisement
