contrary to popular belief i read somewhere that said the bottled gas is safer.

in addition lower risk of gas leak from pipes and forget to turn stove off type of gas leak - finite supply

Dunno leh,i heard the other way round. LPG is denser thus if there's leak it stay there, not like pipe gas,it is light and rises.Forgot to turn off stove is human erorr, you mean LPG got cutt off system if forget to turn off stove?

not everyone got choice [:|]

i'd prefer pipe gas solely for the convenience. but my estate doesn't have. to ensure no supply interruption, i resorted to twin cylinder. if finish while cooking can just swop immediately

Town gas is also called coal gas. Some countries call it syngas because they mix the proportions together to mimic coal gas.

Before natural gas was safely collected and distributed, all gas produced for heating and power generation is made from coal.

Coal gas is basically hydrogen, methane and carbon monoxide.

So in an essense, our gas plants can be called manufacturing gas plants or MPGs.

MPGs are dying as natural gas takes over since it does not need processing or manufacturing to make it.

Neutral Newbie

how to tell how many kg is the lpg?

what's the use of discount if we don't know the base price? what if the delivery man quote higher when he arrives?

Also like to know if the previous cylinder is of different 'brand', will the deliveryman reject it?

What is the market rate for the changing of the hose/adapter? heard got to change every 3-5 yrs.

Yah, for old flats, U'll have to pay for them to install the pipes, and while doing so will have to tear down anything in the way like your cupboards etc in your house.

So not worth it for my flat. :p [shakehead]

Turbocharged

I use Esso. I changed it just a few months ago (I small user, one tank can use for at least 1 year). I think it was $25 for the small cylinder.
