Verve 1st Gear January 1, 2008 Share January 1, 2008 contrary to popular belief i read somewhere that said the bottled gas is safer. in addition lower risk of gas leak from pipes and forget to turn stove off type of gas leak - finite supply
Route88 2nd Gear January 1, 2008 Share January 1, 2008 Dunno leh,i heard the other way round. Boyboy 1st Gear January 1, 2008 Share January 1, 2008 not everyone got choice i'd prefer pipe gas solely for the convenience. but my estate doesn't have. to ensure no supply interruption, i resorted to twin cylinder. if finish while cooking can just swop immediately

Genie47 1st Gear January 1, 2008 Share January 1, 2008 Town gas is also called coal gas. Some countries call it syngas because they mix the proportions together to mimic coal gas. Before natural gas was safely collected and distributed, all gas produced for heating and power generation is made from coal. Coal gas is basically hydrogen, methane and carbon monoxide. So in an essense, our gas plants can be called manufacturing gas plants or MPGs. MPGs are dying as natural gas takes over since it does not need processing or manufacturing to make it. Tiger21 Clutched January 2, 2008 Share January 2, 2008 Yah, for old flats, U'll have to pay for them to install the pipes, and while doing so will have to tear down anything in the way like your cupboards etc in your house. So not worth it for my flat. :p
