Been to the expo also, the PI really has some of their own means to do their marketing, some on high OMV while some on low interest rate.

One of them, Pxxxxxxxxx, is selling civic 1.8litre, at $81k, much more expensive than agent, but with a higher OMV also, at 26k...

The other one Cxx Lxxxxxxx, is selling a $90k toyota blate with OMV of only $23k! But with a Low interest rate of 1.88% per year. It is only with after much probing than is declare that the 1.88% interest is only valid with 30% downpayment!

Ah! That magical 30% reminds me that once-upon-a-time, this was required for any car purchase until some smart-ass in MAS decides to grant "$1" driveaway with 100% loan.

Many folks were elated with this, swamped the showroom and sign on the dotted line with little afterthough. They didn't realise the huge financial burden they will take for the next 10-yrs...not counting ever-increasing ERPs (both price and no. of gantries), fuel price, jams, insurances, parking charges...

Neutral Newbie

This PI really know how to smoke people.

E.g. Their Civil is about $4k more than KM. They say thats because KM OMV value lower. When you trade in, you get back lower value.

What the f*** they talking about. Its not as if their OMV higher by $10k. If their price higher by $4K, OMV higher by $4k, they are still more ex. Taken into consideration you have to pay $4k more upfront and also when you trade in, the highest parf value is only 75% of the OMV.

They really know how to talk c**k.

sometime, it is not about the company. the SE who serve you make a different. some will directly tell you the t&c. some will try to hide it, so as to make it sound everlasting attractive. [laugh]

is the PI prepared to put down on paper that OMV for 1.8 Civic will be 26k ? if not then its just talk only ...

OMV values are now pretty transparent, can check from onemotoring.

a lot of car distributors only give u an estimate of the OMV. later when the car come out the OMV might be different. make sure u get them to put it in writing the OMV promised or u will feel short changed later [sly]

pple also worried abt after sales service and warranty issues.

PI cars also have lower resale value in general as most pple wld avoid it as well. if the make itself is unique and rare, availability of spare parts could be a problem as well

With tis Frankel saga, their reputation aready affected, they should improve on their after sales service & warranty, when I asked them where to go for servicing, they told me they have

about 10 different service centre we can go to. With so many to chose , are we playing with Russian roulette. They should use only reputable workshop, instead of allowing the customer to play with their luck. I believe many here have bad experience with these service centre eg like throwing the ball around.
