Not just $$, but doing our part to the earth as its greener. May sound very noble, but its really nothing more than picking the poo of our pets in the parks. I hate to add that the garment may need to seriously look into this to help shape up the future SG. More help are required to aid ppl to recycle and harnessing of renewable energy rather than the singular economical impact of it. What is difficult for them? The COE, GANTRIES in just 1 expressway, IR and many others despite the protest of the public.....

Bro Genie47, 60L tank is standard size for the SGI kit is it? My boot is huge and think I can accomodate a bigger tank if possible. Melchers charge more for bigger tanks is it?

Of course lah. Bigger cylinder costs more. BTW, don't go around calling it a tank. It is a cylinder.

Thinking of conversion also, but now I am sorting out the logistics.

 

Care to share with us the following info:-

 

How large is your tank...What is the distance that could be covered by one tank...

How often do you have to fill up... Do you usually fill at Mandai, Jurong Island or JB?

 

for dirtrider it makes sense cos he WORKS at JI

 

for the rest of us, we probably gotta go JB. the CNG stations are not so near the causeway.

 

so the thing is when the gahmen will setup more filling stations. they say this year but if they delay then CNG users will suck thumb

 

one thing for early conversion is once they do setup filling stations locally, more people will chiong for CNG and the cost of conversion will go up. not to mention the waiting times

Turns out it wasn't the CNG cylinder that exploded. The crazy guy was carrying an acetylene cylinder with the CNG cylinder.

 

The acetylene cylinder blew up but not the CNG cylinder.

Yes sucking thumb for all of us right now. Imagine if I am on leave and need GAS ... all the way to JI ... haha bull sht man. Now 2008 still waiting for good news for more new stations. Well .... bros endure! I have gut feeling soon it is coming .... but for how long I also dunno .... life is a gamble ...LOL

the conversion i heard is about S$3k. at the moment it seems to be either across the causeway or jurong island. but if u dun haf a jurong island pass, i dunno how u wanna enter.

apparently if you have installed, they can arrange for a JI pass for you...

 

btw, suitable carb cars are easiest candidates for CNG conversions!

ehh.. so i put cng means i can run both petrol and cng or just cng? and if just cng only den wads the consumption on the full pump and the distance u can run on it? considering the fact that im kind of a heavy footer..
