Elmo 4th Gear December 19, 2007 Share December 19, 2007 Yeah....when Pivot Blue first came out it was about $180 w/install. Now the market is flooded with them plus copies plus other brands. Anyway, it does show that the product is reliable. Got saying "Copy is the best praise"....or something like that...ha ha. For VSDII or Pivot (Red), I think changing spark-plugs to "better" ones like Iridium or Platinum may have a more significant effect than doing either alone. So for me, I'm due to change spake plugs next month, so may go for Denso Iridium. Hopefully there's more positive effect then. Think going for Pivot Blue quite a safe bet lah. ↡ Advertisement
Elmo 4th Gear December 19, 2007 Share December 19, 2007 I agree totally bro! Even if there's significant improvement, we will get used to it soon and the car starts to feel slow again. Then we throw in more stuff and the cycle continues... Ever since I joined this forum and the Subaru forum, I already poisoned until I numb to spending a few $K on modding. A few hundreds now feel so small in the world of car modding. Looking back and totalling up the $$ spent....quite heartpain.

Spc_76 Neutral Newbie December 23, 2007 Share December 23, 2007 Quote Hi Elmo,D1 spec gen2 at 180 is quoted by E-rXXs, whereas F@bX quote me 199. VSDII is 288 C&C by E-rXXs, and 280 with install by F@bX. Yes, i have search the forum, and heard good comments on VSDII. However, i find the price to ex. The VSDII quoted by E-rXXs is $250 for C&C now. I think they had just adjusted the pricing due to the festive season. As for the VSDII by F@bx, they quoted me at $288 for cash and carry if i manage to get the discount coupon from the hotstuff magazine. With installation, the price will be at $320 plus. May i know who did you talk to in order to get this special pricing? Thanks

Decrez Neutral Newbie January 19, 2008 Share January 19, 2008 I had the pivot blue install on my wira. guess what, in less then 2years it melts. i was told it will not melt. and when i go back to the xxx shop. they said i got to buy a new one. i din expect them to do a refund, but i expect an ans from the salesperson. he looks very stunt and speachless when i show him the pivot. never mind. i bought D1spec, wosrst, less then 2months its not working. the salesperson told me this is taiwan made so there's no guarantee for it since you chose the low end product. i was like, fxxk , i am not going back to the shop that i bought this two item from. til today, i got my new honda stream. i learn abt this volt stablizer from SILENT. NOT plastic made, has digital display and best 1 year warranty and its only $111 but i heard its more expensive now. its been 2years since i use volt stablizer again. hopefully this wun disappoint me again. 4months and counting. so far so good. i heard abt their VSDIII is impressive too. going to get it tmr.
