Vtim 3rd Gear August 11, 2008 Share August 11, 2008 Quote that's really good :) do keep me posted too . meanwhile I"m contemplating harmony ...... that software only provide 3 pre-define fuel and ignition maps for the user to flash to the stock ECU, you cannot do data logging and edit the maps by youself, so I am giving this up liao
Vtim 3rd Gear August 11, 2008 Share August 11, 2008 Quote thanks for your valuable feedback. i search the forum and read through most of the posts and find contradict reponses. 1 = hidden power was unleased due to factory mis-tuned, it's value for money. 2 = tune or no-tune there is no difference and worst there are several unfortunate outcomes. it's waste of money and find trouble for yourself if you drive a Hyundai or the new Kia (after Hyundai bought over), then the Data Logging will be the best deal for stock ECU. Reason is that Hyundai cars run damn bloody rich, go check on Tiburon (Tuscani) forum in USA and you'll know why, by doing a Datalogging tunning, you can lean out a bit and release some power, best is to do up your IHE first I'm now having my Intake Manifold degrease, clean and painted with high temp paint and will be fitting a Phenonic Spacer between the Intake Manifold & engine block. Next will be the light weight pulley and then another round of DataLogging with Joey of Harmony. Remember, if you intend to remain N.A., piggybag won't help much because you can only tune on the open loop section, close loop is still handle by stock ECU. IMO, for jap made, most of them are already running quite efficient so PiggyBack may not unlease much more hidden power.
Ooieddie Neutral Newbie September 30, 2008 Share September 30, 2008 Get a resale unichip with full harness at about $300 - $380 only. But tune can cost you about $350. If you feel the same after tune, you can sell at the same price. ↡ Advertisement
