Festive celebration is just around the corner. Everyone should refrain from drinking and driving, even more so during this season.

I prefer to drink coffee during a get-together session.

I am not finding excuses for the driver's act. What he did was obviously wrong...no excuse about it. What I was trying to say all along was that his drinking friends should take some of the blames too. They are not 100% innocent or saints.

Yup, we should all try not to drink and drive. I would usually take a cab if I know I am going to drink at gatherings and family dinner. My extended family and I are very anal about such thing...maybe cos many of my relatives are in wine biz and they are very strict on not driving when they drink.

Take cab lor.. even though it is more expensive now.. if can afford car, sure can afford cab..

I never drive my car out when i know i will be drinking.. Hard to find parking at these places also.. and the biggest problem is I will never be able to remember where I park my car even when i am not drinking, let alone drunk.. laugh.gif

sorry to hear about the loss bro.

But on hind sight, maybe the passengers could've bashed the driver's head in when he is about to drive after he drink?

its always like that

the ones who are most seriously injured/ died will always be the innocent ones and get the sympthaty

how would anyone know if it is not the passengers who pestered the driver to give them a free ride home? (not referring to this case)

It is sad to see life lost, especially if the decease was young and had a bright future. Just hope all of us benefit from this sad reminder of drink driving, reckless driving, etc...

I would very much like to know who the hell this driver is.

Didn't the article in your link says that the driver is the boyfriend of your female colleague?? [confused]

Why do ppl still drink & drive?? As if like not enough drinking related accidents? [shakehead]

Read this. Quoted from Suzuki Club

I am typing this post with lots of anger and i do hope the person owns up to his mistake and bears the consequences.

Imagine a young girl, Rachel, with a bright future at SAP and also the SOLE BREAD WINNER of her family. Paid for YOUR car and went around in a BUS herself even though she has a license, took you back in when YOU CHEATED on her just weeks ago....

And you repaid her well... drink/drank drive to supper, crashed into a tree at Bedok north?.... getting out unhurt yet your girlfriend passed away in the hospital hours later due to your moment of folly.

I know you are a member of this particular forum.... i do hope you are truely sorry for your actions and fess up to the authorities if you havent.
