u can try download Comodo firewall (Freeware), then do a audit before n after install the firewall.

Although its a very good idea to keep one's computer secured, but i always perfer the traditional way - keep sensitive & important data stored offline

Stored offline is not gd enough, u still need PC to access them, there are virus n trojan everywhere...

 

No doubts M$ windows is still widely use.

Frankly speaking, i've no problems with viruses & trojans. I dun have the habit of using anti virus on my system as it drains precious system resources. Basically, one must need to know what he/she is downloading.

 

Yea, agree that windows has alot of viruses & trojans targetted at it

oh... actually for anti-virus, u can use NOD32 as it use low system resource.

 

If u r cheapo like me , u can use Anti-vir (Freeware) as it use low resources and high detection rate as well.
