Any oil is still an oil with respect to lubricanting engine parts.

Whether it is worth paying for the premium is something your butt feeling cannot tell.

And I believe this Rev-X or X-Rev is not cheap.

You can probably get the same "feeling" with cheap carluub

UAO looks good for an ester oil

http://www.x-lube.com/UOA-Xrev%20Racing%205w-30.pdf

You will read elsewhere in this site about the powerful additives that Xrev lubricants contains. In fact, each bottle of Xrev lubricant contains about 25% of additives. The additives, although fully liquid, have a 40% higher density compared to the base oil. As such, the additives will tend to settle in the bottle over time. But once they are applied to the engine, it will molecularly bond to the metal surfaces.

but i'm not a fan of excessive addictives.

Another Important Notice:

It has come to our attention that there have been several cases where customers purchase Xrev Lubricants and bring it in to their own workshops (including authorized agents) but later discover that the oil change was done using the oil supplied by the workshop instead, with the individual mechanic keeping the customer's Xrev Lubricant. Customers know when they are being short-changed in this manner when they don't feel the effects of Xrev Lubricants in their engine. As such, it best to witness the oil change whenever possible. If not, then insist that the technical service adviser ensures that the oil change is done using Xrev Lubricants and that you get the empty Xrev bottle back. Whilst there is still no guarantee in this approach, it will at least cut down on the errant cases.

i wonder if ur oil is suffering fr oil shear at mid-life.

This UOA looks amazing man. Hmm... wonder which lab did the test.. Look at the Si of 2ppm after exactly 10000km of usage. Maybe Genie47 & Ken4 should ask him what amazing air filter he used. [laugh]

Hi, currently using it on my 3.5 yrs old Altis. Can't really feel much difference in smoothness as claim but seems like fuel consumption did improve marginally by 5%. Already into 6k now.

Perhaps not value for money at $80-90 per change. Was thinking of trying Amsoil next time round. Any bro got any recommendation?
