Dun feel any diff with the rear seats. In fact, if you sit on the pilot seat and look back, the view is identical to the old 3.

The excuses used car dealers will say is "your 2L sedan is so small compared to other 2L sedan, difficult to take in lah...".

They then presses your price low...

That is what happened to a friend. [bigcry]

which car did your friend try to to sell?

Current new M3 not doing as well as the the 1st model coz owners already know it's high consumption an underpowered. Nowadays look for 1.4litre turbo charged cars, save road tax and get more than a 2 litre power. Consumption ard 13-14km/l, still better. These cars are vw golf, fiat bravo, skoda octavia. Higher technology, better safety and more features. With better power and reasonable fuel consumption, lower road tax, lasting looks(not so soon facelift), we think we will not change our cars so soon. [drivingcar]

If only the M3 1.6 comes with "twincharger" aka supercharger + turbo, 7 speed DSG gearbox, good fuel consumption...and a wheelbase of at least 2700mm....then dun think owners will wanna sell...

Prepare to be surprised, Golf MK VII is coming soon. MK VI will probably the shortest shelf-life Golf

Current new MZ3, Altis all not doing as well as previous generation due to the value proposition of the Hyundai & Kia...

m3 owners are going for the looks more than the fc or 'power'

also don't understand why ppl keep saying m3 is under powered. there is a 2L version running at 148hp

of cos 1.6L is under powered cos its 1.6L. how to compare?

i thk if fc and price is top concern then korean car is the top choice. though i can't say the same for its resale value

everything is relative. the lancer GLX 1.6L ppl also say its under powered. why? cos u are only paying 50k for it. how to compare with altis or golf?

you miss out another very very important criteria, it'd Handling. No other Asian car can beat it. That is where I am impressed after trying all other models. When I sit and test drive this car, I straight away made up my mind. The continential feel made it differ from the rest, not to mentioned it unique look. No other car can beat it during that time (the new civic FD series yet to arrive). The only short fall is there is no 2L mazda 3 during that time as well so can only get the 1.6L underpower one.

power is relative to kerb weight of car body

there is no 2litre mazda3 during 2004

i agree 2litre mazda3 is powerful, but not 1.6litre

mazda3 body is 1250kg

1.6litre to power a 1250kg body is consider underpower

do u know a 1.6 civic is 1150kg

same 1.6 carry additional 100kg u tink will be enough power?

then my mazda2 sp (1.5) has more power than a bmw 318i :)

318i = 136hp / 1445kg = 0.0941

m2sp = 110hp / 1064kg = 0.1034

Bros...there are so many feedback in here regarding M3 underpowered...But I believe this is only relating to the 1.6 models. What about the 2.0? The engine of M3 2.0 is the same as M6 2.0? Am very interested in getting the M3 2.0. Have been running in my mind for the longest time since it was launched last year.

can anyone enlighthen on mazda 3A between a Normal 3 and luxury 3?

Internal all look the same.

I keen to buy a 2nd hand one.

The luxury model

- has two airbags

- auto aircon climate control(meanng you get to se how many degrees you want the aircon to be)

Normal model

-one airbag at the driver side only

- no auto aircon climate control(can only select from 3) settings.

Hmmm.......Spend money on a 2 litre car that comes with such a crammed and uncomfortable seating space. Does not seem to make any sense to me especially at this range it is "fighting" for COE against big and luxurious cars. Might as well spend it on Mazda6 or even a Camry for more power. :wacko:

Finally with the 90yrs promotion for M3...I've finally put my down payment for the 2.0L. Test drove the car and handling was good. Since am not a family man the compact cabin doesn't bother me at all. In fact i like the sports leather seats. And the 2.0L is definitely not under power. Well looking fwd to my zoom zoom...
