Hi,

Need to replace my Skoda Oct door rubber seal and power window device (no sure what they call it...). I checked with CA and was told the rubber seal cost $170 (need to wait for 3 weeks) and the window device cost a few hundreds. Anyone can advice on other alternative or source for cheaper parts. Thank you.

Hope it helps, I have solved the rubber issue by using high heat resistance glue, which cost about S$8. As for the window, I have learned from the guys that VW has a load of problems and heavy cost involved with it, hence, decided not to fix it and use the door instead.

Xin Zhong is very competitive. They are at 247 Lavender Street, try looking for Jeffrey or David, they are great guys.

The window lifters, there are some OEM ones you can look at. If the cables are still ok, you'll only need to replace the plastic piece. I stopped using the window when i heard and addtional click winding up. That saved me the cable and motor assembly. Only had to replace the plastic lifter.

Hi Dudemobile,

I think the cables already broke but still can hear the window clicking sound when operate it. Don't intend to repair the window device (too costly) but want to fix it into position. Currently I just used a paper to prevent the window dropping down. :P Any advice?
