It's quite true happening to all the people around me. Maybe i share some personal stories.

 

Case 1

 

This friend his gf break up with him I'm really sure what happen though then soon he got his licence his dad bought him a FD. The girl went back soon after he got his civic. [lipsrsealed]

 

Case 2

 

I had this female friend keep asking me to buy car/rent car/borrow from relative to go out together. I happen to know this guy we are in the same school, recently he just pass his TP and out of sudden that female friend of mine say they are together. The guy is driving his family's APV. [shocked]

 

Case 3

 

An acquaintance of mine, family very rich the day he got his licence got car drive already. Now dating 2nd girl since he got his licence.

 

Case 4

 

A friend of mine father retire already car seldom use then he told me before had to get gf

and never been in a date before. Now he is dating one [gorgeous] .

 

Well, I'm 19 this year you can say i'm childish/jealous or what but this is my observance of Singapore girls. [;)]

It is true that a car helps a man gets a date easily.

But once the woman marries the guy and is ready to settle down, she would want him to sell away the car.

 

Reality sets in after marriage. As husband and wife, they become united as one item and both would feel the real burden of car ownership, together.

 

For the same reason as how she was attracted to her man initially, the wife would not want her husband to use their car to attract another woman.

Why?

 

Simple.

 

Case 1

------

Guy: Hey, let's catch a movie, let's meet at Bugis MRT.

Gal: My house abit far leh.

 

Case 2

------

Guy: Hey, let's catch a movie, I'll pick you up at your place.

Gal: Ok, see ya.

 

If the guy smart .... lagi better .... "Hey, I'm at your house downstairs .... I am here to pick you up."

For practical reasons, a 10 year old Toyota Liteace would be sufficient for case 2.

But in reality, the girl would prefer to be fetched by a Toyota Estima.

old news.. my time 10 yrs ago already like that... but i realised that if it's just a girl im after.. i should go sammyboy and do research and get the job done.. if im looking for a life companion... whether i have a car or not shouldnt matter.. in fact if im serious about a girl.. i leave the car at home and take the bus.. just to make sure...

I would say having a car will definitely give you a headstart. But there is a common misunderstanding that once someone has a car, a date will automatically come knocking in. In life, we need to chase for what we want....and to find/get a date, we need to create the opportunities, like go join a group of friends with mixture of girls/guys, join activities, join clubs, etc...

 

There are maybe several means to find and most of pals are acquainted with partners, except for a few who don't actively find one but want to have one, some have very high expectations hence quite hard also and lastly, a group who are busy with work life and complain they have no opportunity to find opposite sex (or is it he has no time for them??) [;)] Hope my 2 cents opinion help [wave]

u risk becoming a chauffeur amongst your "friends"...or u attract the wrong type of girl...

 

then again, it may be the right type depending on what u are after.

 

referring to the last statement in your post:

 

maybe u hanging around with the wrong crowd, if u don't see the kind of fish u are after, time to move on to another pond. no pointing dicking ard the same pond and keep arriving at the same conclusion.

You are still very young. If no car yet and die die want a gal, maybe can start off with a motorcycle. Get a scrambler or something. Remember to do hard acceleration and hard braking even when it's not necessary. [laugh][sly]

Nonsense... not all girls like tat... if really tat is the case why so many couple take bus leh? i don think gt car = gt ger...

 

is the hiewling~ n the timing... not the car...

 

but mus agree wif car gt additional marks lar...

 

but the guy sucks drive big car does nt means sure gt ger de...

There are alot of ways to sian charbor. Having your own transport just gives u an advantage. U still haven observe enough. Those good gals often hide at home one. U often see outside are those havoc ones. [laugh]
