Protege 1st Gear November 29, 2007 Share November 29, 2007 Take Eurostar to London and Brussels. If not take TGV from Paris down to Switzerland.
Chimp Clutched November 29, 2007 Share November 29, 2007 If you are planning to do this around Christmas, better think twice with the transportation strike in France. You might not be able to get back to Paris if the strike start affecting the other EU countries around France. This is the best time for the union to get the government to back down so expect the strike to last until end of the year.
Potheader Clutched November 29, 2007 Share November 29, 2007 4 days 3 nights is not really alot.. I think just spending all your time in Paris would be good; Much less hassle this way. If not, you can take the Thalys to Brugges for 2D1N, skip Brussels as Brugges IMO is much nicer. From there, maybe you can make another trip to Amsterdam if you want to stretch it a little. It can be a little tiring this way, but if it is for a business trip, you can claim for more extravagrant forms of transport right? anyway the strikes here are seriously quite bad.. there's another "manifestation" (french for demonstration) and alot of schools are closed; but not mine!!! so do take that into consideration when you want to travel. and also, the shorter daylight hours. Potheader Clutched November 29, 2007 Share November 29, 2007 there's actually not much support for the strikes as the French actually see the sense in Sarkozy's reforms Also, people will want to work through the holidays because they need more money for christmas and for everyday they strike, there goes another day of income! ↡ Advertisement
