Nus24 Neutral Newbie November 26, 2007 Share November 26, 2007 Seems like your amp is sucking way too much current from the battery. Is the performance loss similar to when you off/on the aircon?
Funkyjazz Neutral Newbie November 26, 2007 Author Share November 26, 2007 I have not try to off aircon to compare, I will try this evening when driving home. Nobody has the same experience like me? I don't have capacitor, but I don't play loud heavy bass music either.

Funkyjazz Neutral Newbie November 26, 2007 Author Share November 26, 2007 My amp is Audison LRX4.3 & Performa amp(Sub). Car is Skoda Superb. Its not a lot of power loss, but can feel that I need to step more to move off or overtaking.
Sony 1st Gear November 26, 2007 Share November 26, 2007 Don't think your amp is so power hunger to affect performance, moreover, it's about stepping off.. But to be sure, why don't you disconnect the stuff and see if there's diff Not sure if adding a capacitor or upgrade your battery would help anot.. Funkyjazz Neutral Newbie November 26, 2007 Author Share November 26, 2007 Just now I try to drive with & without ICE on, not much difference in power. But definitely a lot of difference as compare with my earlier performance without ICE. Wondering why?
Sony 1st Gear November 26, 2007 Share November 26, 2007 how difference is your difference? unplug everything off from your battery terminal and see if it is still like that
Vblaster_w211 2nd Gear November 26, 2007 Share November 26, 2007 ICE draws power from alternator when car is running, not battery. Not likely to affect car performance. If anything, it's the slight increase in weight from amp and sound damping materials.
Dunno Neutral Newbie November 26, 2007 Share November 26, 2007 Try disconnecting the main fuse from the battery to see if there's any effect? There should be no power supply to the amps at all this way.
Funkyjazz Neutral Newbie November 27, 2007 Author Share November 27, 2007 I feel like carrying 3 adults in the car...
Funkyjazz Neutral Newbie November 27, 2007 Author Share November 27, 2007 Thanks for the advice, I will get the installer to try that... So sad, may need to forgo the ICE.
Sony 1st Gear November 27, 2007 Share November 27, 2007 now... hands up.. beside amp, what else did you put? if it's sluggish in the accerlation, try sprint boaster.. not sure if it solve your issue but it does make some improvement to the reaction. Note: reaction time on your throttle. doesn't add more horses ↡ Advertisement
