Saabretooth 2nd Gear November 25, 2007 Share November 25, 2007 I just found out after I got back. One of them is a friend of my brother and I. Its a little surreal.... he was on of the fittest and best swimmers we know.
Stary Turbocharged November 25, 2007 Share November 25, 2007 why weren't they wearing life jackets??
Silver_blade Turbocharged November 25, 2007 Share November 25, 2007 Apparently, life jacket is not compulsory for most of the competition outside of Singapore. Wearing one will restrict their movement and put them in a disadvantage position. I think this is only for competition held within Asia...where safety standard is sometimes lacking. Silver_blade Turbocharged November 26, 2007 Share November 26, 2007 (edited) Yup. Heard that it's almost impossible to capsize a dragon boat...cos it's long, board (sit 2 side by side), low, and heavy.
