hi, are those aftermarket calipers, or stock calipers with cover, or just painted stock caliper with decal?

i'm actually thinking of getting brembo caliper cover then repaint and paste decal then fix on tongue.gif

Its stock GS 4pot calipers, manufacturer is Advics. The wordings should be stickers bah.

I have tried getting those 2-piece rotors but they have to be installed as a full brake system (i.e. calipers, brake hose, rotors, brake pads, etc) for them to work effectively. I have tried putting up a 332mm 2-piece rotor (that's the size of my stock rotor) but because of the 2-piece fittment, the brake caliper is obstructed. Tried a large diameter rotor (355mm) but still didn't clear the caliper. It was fortunate that it didn't fit otherwise I would have bought them. Was later told that our stock caliper will only work effectively with similar size rotor and not larger due to the need for our brake pad to have the correct contact area.

Those Rotoras are one-piece and are specific only to the Lexus GS, hence they fitted well (front and rear). For brake pads I have changed to TOMS (available from Team Sportivo). Very little dust (almost couldn't find any) and noiseless. Performance? Well they are much better than stock otherwise they wouldn't be TOMS. Cost? About $400 plus (inclusive of GST) for the front pair.

Bro, my stock calipers are greyish in colour and I have them painted in high temp black (2 coats), put on the LEXUS sticker, and then finished with a clear coat. I have them done at a workshop in Sin Ming and because of the high temp paint, the workshop even oven-baked the calipers to ensure a quicker drying process. I have forgotten how much it cost me as these were done 2 years ago.
