I have tried all sorts of formation with all sorts of combination but their results are not consistent and varies except this...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I only have:

 

7x Quick Cannon IV

2x Ice II

 

all concentrated at Ant hole! Can clear level 80 every round

 

 

But your strategy must change as the game progresses.

 

BEGINNING LVL1~40

 

Ants spends a great deal of time wondering around the map. So place a Poison Spray at the ant hole right at the beginning of the game once you got the money! Place 2 more quick cannons at the side as well, and one at the cake. The poison will kill the wondering ant and when near level 40, the cannon at the cake will ensure those who got off.

 

LVL 40~70

 

You MUST have ICE cannons! Place 2 evenly spread out to cover the whole area near ant hole. ICE slows down ants' movement. With a slower movement, your cannons can do 2x or 3x the damages due to a longer exposure time! And when near LVL 70, the ants with cake will chiong straight to the hole! Without ICE, you will have trouble, and those ants know how to shield their comrades!

 

LVL 70 and above

 

By 70, you should try to concentrate on fire power. The quick cannons will increase in firing speed and damages for every additional tower you add! So the more you have the higher the damages! By now you should change your poison spray to quick cannons as poison is no longer useful. The cannon you place at the cake should be removed and place a new one at the ant hole. ICE cannon should also be upgraded to level II because the ant's really commando by now and level I ice cannon's coverage range is too small.

 

Other tips:

 

Always place your defence symmetrically!!

If it is not symmetrical, the ants will concentrate on your weaker side and you may lose a few cakes. And also there will always be a weak spot no matter how you upgrade. So if it is symmetrical, it will be much easier balancing them.

 

Place at ant holes only!

This is the only place ants will be concentrated! Be it new or returning ants! And they spend a greater deal of time near the hole than any other place on the map! Because they will be borned there and will wonder around there for a good while, then even when they got the cakes they still have to walk back to the hole which gives you another opportunity to whack them! Over at the Cake side, you only have 1 chance of getting the ants. If you missed, it's the end! And at Level 70~, you will hardly have enough time to destroy the ants before they reach the cake, and they will be rejuvenated upon carrying the cake so no matter how much fire power you have it will be like killing the ants twice

 

Forget about upper right and lower left of the maps!

They seldom go there, even if they do it is still a 50-50 percent chance. And you weaken your defence by spreading your cannons and most of the time they are under utilised. So always concentrate your fire power as Napoleon stated: Concentration of forces spells victory.

 

Now go get those ants!

Previously. I only get max lvl 59, but now I managed to hit level 79!

Good tips

 

Sniper Cannon III has the highest damage rate at 4.8 shots x12 = 57.6 DPS.

while Quick Cannon IV is slightly lower at 6x9=54 DPS.

But, for every additional Quick Cannon IV added, the basic damage increase by 1.

So if you have 5 Quick Cannon IV, damage rate will be 6x(9+1*4)=78 DPS

So, in the long run, it make sense to have as many Quick Cannons as possible.

My tactic is to use Ice Cannon and sniper cannon. I think i am better on Sniper cannon even though my favourite is quick cannon.

 

The sniper cannon is good whereas you wun miss Every shot hit which i think is better than quick cannon. Moreover it can increased on the range if you build more sniper cannon which i need very much to cover the blind spot..

 

The reason I put 1 X ice and 1 X sniper at the back is to inflict as much damages as possible when those ants pick up the cake.

 

 

BTW No one in Group Singapore manage to break the 100 barrier.

Good for you!

 

But when you are close to lvl 100, (I was on LVL 96) you will realise that increasing your range is irrelevant. What you need is fire power and rate of fire when the ants have like more than 10k blood! So in the longer run, you must keep increasing your fire power of every canon you have and not just adding more as the canon cost increases exponentially

This is my latest tip ... I use the 7 star formation 七 星 阵 from Wudang Sector. And it proven. I am still shooting now already reach Lvl 110. Will update further later. Very useful formation and weapon.

Just Finish my game.... I stop at Lvl 134 by terminating myself.

Feeling very difficult to climb any higher as I already spend 5 hrs on it.

 

Tips:

 

For the first 50 levels, Build Ice cannon and missile cannon(spray cannon optional) at it maximum power.

 

Next 50 Level Build close ard the ants den and build slowly to enclose it. Meanwhile try to kill those ants wander outside/behind your cannon.
