Neutral Newbie

or can park at Suntec, Marina Sq, Esplanade and then take the city link underpass to walk over... think Suntec have shuttle bus to St. Andrews as well.

haha... just a thought.. walk a bit can work up an appetite to eat... then after eating... do some excerise (walk back to car).. go home, sleep.

All these are usually full! I worked at Funan, always frustrated.

The best secret location with a bit of walk but confirm got lot is National Library about 5 minutes walk away only [sweatdrop]

Unless I go early to Raffles City. If not, I ever park along Seah Street or Purvis Street. Put two 1 hour coupons and park there until almost midnight (7.30pm ~ 11.30pm). Fatimah don't work until so late....oops [lipsrsealed][lipsrsealed][lipsrsealed]

Another place is Capitol Centre car park.

I always park at Adelphi and use the bridge and cross over to Funan. Definitely got some lots for parking.

For the TS, I'll park below Ritz Clarton. Safe and easy to find lot unless there are activities around the Bay.

Adelphi car park the slope a bit steep same as Funan.

But even Funan I can't get season parking there man! So I had to park at Almenian Street near ROM and walk over. But it's only $140 a month for season so no complaint as compared to $280 at Funan and provided you are allocated one. [mad]

How come? It's ERP system mah. You must be talking about the old NLB at Armenian Street. I talking about the NEW NLB at Bras Basar. [;)]

Anyway, all the URA car parks at Armenian Street are FREE PARKING AFTER 5PM!!!!!!!!!!!! Go there early to get a lot! [sly]

Driving to work is the greatest joy one can ever get!!!! ha ha

Why I say that? Because I was relying on public transport to get me to work for 3 months while waiting for my COE [dead]

This is my scenario. I live in Bukit Panjang and work in the City.

Various mode of transport:

BUS:

Service 190 will take me to my office, but... so does most other people. This service starts from CCK, then Bt Panjang, then Orchard then my office at Funan. When it reaches Bt Panjang, the bus is alredy filled to the doors [:|] Even those special frequency whereby they started from Bt Panjang also no chance to sit.

With me is my 3kg notebook bag and sometimes my briefcase 4kg . Sometimes I need to bring my digital SLR for work so that's another bag weighing 5 kg.

The entire journey took about 1 hour. The waiting time varies from 15 minutes to 30 minutes if the bus is full.

And the bus is not immune to the morning peak hour jam. With all those bags, you don't get to sit and all these bags are causing blockage in the bus.

So everyday it's a physical training for me.

LRT - MRT:

Bukit Panjang got no MRT, so I need to take LRT to the MRT station at CCK. MRT also same story less traffic jam but is still packed with people.

Upon reaching my destination, I need to walk from City Hall to Funan and they will soak me in sweat [dead]

Taxi?

Don't even think about it! They are a urban myth in Singapore. You see them but can't get them. You flag them but they don't see you. You stand so long waiting only to find some a@@ hole will walk further up to intercept you [furious]

Therefore although it is tough and frustrating getting a parking lot in CBD, it is still a JOY compared to our legendary public transport [thumbsup]
