Krieger 5th Gear November 18, 2007 Share November 18, 2007 Hi, CPC2 so far is the best balanced tires I tried before. I used most brands before in the same spectrum, except NEXUAN. CPC2 mostly made in france and Germany. Wet and dry good, but the linear factor is so so only. Cost also another thing
PohHengTyre Neutral Newbie November 18, 2007 Share November 18, 2007 cpc2 is more lasting
Krieger 5th Gear November 19, 2007 Share November 19, 2007 Yes I agreed, I used the CPC2 1 year back.. lasted me 70K, until i am worried about state of the rubber. But then , still as good. really worth the $150 per piece. I am going back to CPC2 in 2 months time.

Vblaster_w211 2nd Gear November 24, 2007 Share November 24, 2007 (edited) RS2 cheaper than CSC2? definitely. Better? Depends on application.... Back to TS's question, both RE001 and CPC2 are good, but CPC2 is more towards comfort. Edited November 24, 2007 by Vblaster_w211

Toalson 1st Gear November 24, 2007 Share November 24, 2007 So how abt their other aspects ie braking wet n dry n any comparison against V8RS? Tks!
Karnaugh Neutral Newbie November 24, 2007 Share November 24, 2007 Quote check 2 shops RE001 $135x1 195/50-15, CPC2 $150x1 185/55-15 which 1 should i takeboth hv n2 , valve n balance Well it depends on what you are looking for. CPC2 is more of a touring tire with a greater emphasis on comfort with a healthy blend of grip whereas RE001 is more of high performance tire that focuses on traction and control. I am currently running on a set of RE001s. I must say these tires perform extremely well in the dry and they offer a great deal of allowance before giving way during hard cornering. However in the wet it does not perform as well as it claimed to be. I have experienced aquaplaning in several occasions at 3 figure speeds. So I dun really recommend pushing them in the wet as they are still summer performance tires after all. In terms of comfort I am quite surprise they are relatively quiet for a performance tire and they are able to absorb bumps pretty well too. Pricing is subjective to different individuals but I feel these tires are worth the value they are priced at.

Toalson 1st Gear December 8, 2007 Share December 8, 2007 Got mine at below 100 for 15" Now still scrubbing in the tyres as it was mentioned that the scrub in period is 700km. 1st impression, slightly noiser than V8RS but seemed much more comfortable. ↡ Advertisement
