Watwheels Supersonic November 17, 2007 Share November 17, 2007 (edited) Any tire shop can do. Market price is $10. The best I went to is actually my AD. After changing tires outside, balancing & everything. I went to AD to fill my tires with Nitrogen gas(one time payment, subsequent refill no need money). I told them the outside workshop balancing not very good(butt feel ). Then the next thing they did was wash my front rims clean and balance them again(b4 that inner side of rims were filled with brake dust). $10 also. Watwheels Supersonic November 17, 2007 Share November 17, 2007 (edited) Cos my car is FWD, I do it during my 10k km service intervals where the rear will be swap to the front & front wheels to the rear(Rotation). Then the would be front tires will go thru balancing. For those ppl who dunno what is balancing, I give u an example. Imagine u scotch tape a 20 cents coin on one of the fan blade of your fan which u use in your room. U switch on your fan, it will go so called unbalance cos it's one side heavy. U will risk damaging your fan altogether on prolong usage. So to balance it u have to remove the coin or add coins to the rest of the fan blade inorder to balance the rotation. For your wheel's case u cannot take anything out, that's why u see little rectangular metal stubs fixed/added on your rim or inside of your rim. Your rims may aleady be balanced when it came out of the factory but not the rubber tire, the rubber compound is not so well distributed like your rims so u have to balance your wheels when u have a change of tire. It's recommended u do rotation & balancing every 10k km interval to as to have a uniform wear on your tires. Boyboy 1st Gear November 17, 2007 Share November 17, 2007 rotation is every 10k by right.. and normally, balancing is done for the wheels which are to be placed in front. if u feel vibrations in the steering wheel at a particular speed, it will also mean that u need balancing. if normal off wheel balancing does not help, then u need on-wheel balancing (also known as high-speed balancing) that one is more ex... for me, i do my stuff at JB hawk tayar. half price
