Help! My Straits Times is being stolen by one of my neighbours, early in the mornings. [furious][mad] It's happened three times already this month. Does anyone know where I can get a decent video surveillance camera?

Is that the cheapest one around? It's not just the price of the ST, it's the inconvenience of having to drive to the petrol station to get another copy. [:(]

Why do some people do this kind of things? [shakehead]

Neighbour's dog take away an entire Straits Times by itself? Must be some kind of wonderdog; don't think so. Owner must be walking it right?

Small kids going to school would most likely be accompanied by parents at that hour in the morning. So the parents cannot feign ignorance, unless they are the ones who ask the kids to take it.

Either way, it's causing me inconvenience and irritation. What other solution do I have other than to catch them in the act? [rifle]

you need to get a seperate DVR which record and you can play back to see.

another type of DVR that has the internet function means you can watch it live even when you are at your office.

i bought 10 cameras and a DVR(500GB) at about $1800 that is exclude of installation.

Hello All, I am frm this surveillance industry....

Gotta to ask you if you wanna it to record into where (media)>>>

1) Into You own PC. Cheap Setup... you PM me. I give you good price.

2) Or separately DVR. I am selling ard 1400+ with setup and futhermore you can view it over the web from your office or even oversea. This is ideal for Customer with maid or parent at home. Offer only valid for MCF bros.

Both system can configure either in continuously recording or Motion Detection.

Anyone wanna to buy the system can PM me. Cheeer....

By the way my system is different frm those you found on SLS because we got our own server unlike those that use DDNS configuration.

for the quantity i bought,he charged me $60 per camera.

price of DVR varies according.

maybe you can just get a 4 or 8 channel DVR with 250GB of hard disk should suffice.

and with or without internet function is your own preference.

mine is using 16 channel with internet functions and 500GB of hard disk is about $1100-1200.

erh.. camera? how are you going to keep it running/trigger?

when in doubt, use black tape. hide at the corner? at the edge? tape it and paint the tape brown?

From what I understand, there're two types, either continuously recording type, or motion detector type. It's like those video surveillance cameras you see in department stores or casinos, but of course not so high-end lah...

As compare with all the DVS on the market, we gotta to look at the type of recording format such as Mpeg 4 format and Frame per second and security feature.
