Dipstick Neutral Newbie November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 By defending the NEP, MY is admitting that the malays there cmi in an enivronment where there is free competition as the NEP has been in force for 30 years. 3 decades, and they still need the NEP........ The Johor IDR will be another MY flop with only some arab states supporting it so far........ when will they ever learn........
Chickenfarm Turbocharged November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 Where do you think the phrase, "halo bang!! Relak one corner!!" came about
Chickenfarm Turbocharged November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 the NEP has been in force for 30 years. 3 decades, and they still need the NEP........ NEP means "Never Ending Programme" mah
Silver_blade Turbocharged November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 We are slightly better than My. Our gov favour other group of the people, instead of bumi like MY.
Sg8916 Neutral Newbie November 15, 2007 Author Share November 15, 2007 I think you meant MY is slightly better.. they favoured their own (bumi)?

Dipstick Neutral Newbie November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 (edited) No, lah. NEP = No Economic Progress Yes, MY should just go and squat down and "relak one corner" for the next 30 years. Edited November 15, 2007 by Dipstick
Yeobh 4th Gear November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 (edited) The policy is out of date - now it's a problem not a solution so much so the bumi have a clutch mentality. Remove the support and they will fail miserably. Similarly , Spore GLCs will also suffer the same way once the goverment generosities of giving contracts are reduced or removed. Dipstick Neutral Newbie November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 (edited) MY now realise that the NEP pro-Malay policy is keeping many foreign investors away and are trying to wean the Malays from it....... but they have got so used to it that it's become one of their many "birth rights". The policy is racist and have resulted in the Malays becoming even more "relak" than before........ Edited November 15, 2007 by Dipstick
Yeobh 4th Gear November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 After 40yrs of Medeka, they still unable to accept the fact that it is a Malaysian Malaysia. If they continue to uphold Malay Malaysia - sooner or later all the other races will migrate.By denying the other races of a fair share of the economic pie, in actual fact Msia is helping spore to progress faster. Silver_blade Turbocharged November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 Yes they do...but it's also not easy to remove the 'rights' from the bumi. Malaysian, unlike s'porean, will go on the street to protest and have enough numbers to vote the gov out.
Dipstick Neutral Newbie November 15, 2007 Share November 15, 2007 (edited) The MY ruling party did not stick to the "do not give what you cannot take away" policy and are not quagmired in the situation......... which may even slide into a race war. Just like May 13 1969......... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_13_Incident Edited November 15, 2007 by Dipstick
