Weiming 1st Gear November 14, 2007 Share November 14, 2007 Think it is a good first attempt by Lexus. You got to start somewhere. Even the vaunted AMG ,M and RS division/badge of the german marques had humble beginnings. In all, the competition will only benefit consumers. My pipe dream is to have the driveability of the M3, the looks of the RS4 with the amount of standard kit, build quality and reliability of the IS-F
Krieger 5th Gear November 14, 2007 Share November 14, 2007 IS- F is no way better than M3 in similar track conditons. But for day to day, maybe . MHO
Nine_eleven 2nd Gear November 14, 2007 Share November 14, 2007 While the IS-F may be faster, stronger andbetter than the rest in its class.... it lacks the X-Factor.... something that machinery and technical brilliance cannot create... it's something you can't really put your finger on.... people who really enjoy an M3 is also buying into the history and heritage of how M cars begun... but that's not to say that the IS-F won;t be a force to be reckoned with in the future... just that it's got its work cut out.... Voxy28 3rd Gear November 14, 2007 Share November 14, 2007 me also think M3 will still be the car. The IS is design so impractically low profile, I don't think any grownup angmoh will seriously consider it. The A pillar and C piller literally makes any tall person so difficult to climb in.... I think this baby Lexus totally lost the plot when I tried the car. It is suppose to be executive sports saloon not a sports car. I think they tried a bit too hard esp the space in the car, really CMI. If I am gonna live with such confine space, I will get a 2 door not a 4 door. ↡ Advertisement
