Toeknee_33 Turbocharged October 28, 2008 Share October 28, 2008 You should buy another Aveo, so you can keep your nick. Or upgrade to the Optra since your belief in the brand is so strong? ↡ Advertisement
Alex28 Neutral Newbie October 29, 2008 Share October 29, 2008 anyone know when to get i30 assessories? getting my ride soon.....
Aveorean Neutral Newbie October 29, 2008 Share October 29, 2008 belief in the brand is one thing, happen to chance upon and buy a more quality product at a lower cost is a more sensible thing to do, in this case, a made in japan subaru. If have a better budget, i would love to get the 2L chevrolet epica, why not, or even the volt in future. Somemore i am comparing apple to apple, korean to korean, and not korean to japan, why the worries? Lastly, nick is a form of communication in forum, why not u put yr real name in here so that u buy watever brand of vehicle, u still can keep yr name
Bearbear1494 Clutched October 30, 2008 Share October 30, 2008 One of your MAIN reasons for changing a car is cos the wipers keep juddering? Wow... the rich are really rich in SG. Try changing wiper blades & get your windscreen professionally cleaned. Maybe after that you can just keep the current car.

Aveorean Neutral Newbie November 7, 2008 Share November 7, 2008 Have already done all those things that you mention and it get worst, i even change the whole new windscreen, getting expensive silicon wipers, get professional help on the screen until they give up themselves. Btw, my car has been 4 years and i have been tolerating for since day 4 or 5 with the windscreen problem, if you talking about rich, just think about those that change a new car in less than a year or 2, with no reasons needed, just to show off to ppl that they keep changing car. Mine has been 4 years old and there is wear and tear parts that i need to do up that can be solved using at about $3K to $4K, but no matter what i do also can't solve this damn wiper juddering problem. So, huh, isn't it u gotta heard the whole story 1st before u commented on anything about rich? Suprisingly, maybe u are the real rich that is driving a posh car without this juddering problem or any problem at all?
Sktan10 5th Gear November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 Change to a more powerful wiper motor will solve the problem. Go to outside workshop & do.Not need to be Chevrolet/Daewoo parts.
macrosszero Turbocharged November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 Driven several cars over the years and have occasional problems of streaking windshield as a result of worn out wipers but never had a problem of judder. You must be extraordinarily unlucky to have suffered it continuously for 4 years. I used factory wiper blades and cheap OEM replacements about once a year, sometimes I buy a $1.40 bottle of washer fluid concentrate and dump that into my washer water reservoir every few months. When the window streaks, I replace the blades. Or when the auto parts store has discounted blade refills.
Kianbeng Clutched November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 Are you overseas? Coz you mentioned "auto parts store". When I was overseas, I frequently go to "auto parts store" to buy refills as cheap as $2. Makes my wipers brand new for a good while. But when I'm back to singapore, I could no longer buy $2 refills. And auto parts stores here seldom sell wiper blades. It's either sold at petrol kiosks or accessories shops.
macrosszero Turbocharged November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 (edited) I guess I picked up the slang from Australia. I'm back here now, tackling COE and ERP and all sorts of other acronyms related to driving in Singapore. I once bought refills at $1 a blade from one of those $1 shops. Having paid so little for wiper blades I can never bring myself to pay tens of dollars for a set of those flexy Tornado or Typhoon thingies. Lgt1977 Neutral Newbie November 22, 2008 Share November 22, 2008 (edited) hi all, chance upon this post after i test drive the i30 today and i was quite amaze that Hyundai can produce such a nice car. Like to have some more feedback before i consider to sell or keep my current car. Price now - 54,998 with body kit and 17" rims. 52 without body kit and rim Question - worth the money now? I read through the post and many people commented that if i30 is priced within 50k range it should be a good buy. Test droven the car and i am suprise that it is quite up to my expection. Test drive a carren before so i was also expecting some slight slugglish pick up as to compare to my honda citi which i was having but after a few red light, this slower pickup is no longer an issue for me. Cornering need some work but i can adapt to that. Some bros commented it has a light steering which i agree but after knowing that it comes with a electroic steering it make sense. FC is good for this car. 11-12 is not what i expect from korean made except avanta. Nice conti feel and look. amazing plus point for me. Minus point is the seats tho... not as soft as my current ride. Has the same complain from my wife too.. Some bros comment Suburu 1.5D, i might consider dropping by their showroom tomorrow to see the difference. price is about the same too 54K which is kinda tempting... That is another nice car i m ight consider but anyone knows the FC for that version? Edited November 22, 2008 by Lgt1977
