Tohdj Neutral Newbie November 9, 2007 Share November 9, 2007 Had to remove my front side windows' film. Now there's a thick layer of glue stuck on them. Tried kerosene, thinner, Goo Goner and its still there. The window film maker really applied too much adhesive on their films... Anybody knows whether there's shops willing to use razor blades to scrap the glue off? And how much? ↡ Advertisement

Bearbear1494 Clutched November 9, 2007 Share November 9, 2007 Isopropyl alcohol, also known as rubbing alcohol. Available at most supermarkets & all pharmacies. Apply the alcohol to a clean cloth & rub on the glue. When the alcohol starts to evaporate, just apply more & so on. Just be careful not to get it on your plastic trim, else may discolor. Worked for me.

Tohdj Neutral Newbie November 10, 2007 Author Share November 10, 2007 Thanks to all for the info. Finally removed most of it from 1 window. bearbear was right..."when the alcohol was about to evaporate, just applied more". I applied the thinner on a small area over a few times and it gradually got removed. For the really stubborn ones, i put the razor flat onto the window and slide it into them, and slowly pushed it in and out until it cut through the glue. Still got 1 more window to do...sigh!!!! ↡ Advertisement
