sorry for my ignorance..

does all skoda cars come w/o reverse sensor?

Cos my perception is most cars comes pre-installed

or at least installed locally with rev sensors

eg toyota, nissan.

Ya installed locally? Means bring to the shop install.

No skoda doesn't come with reverse sensors, you gotta ask for it. And all they do is stick the sensor on the bumper.

For this case, he requested the sensors to be embedded on the bumper strip, which is supposed to be the norm.

the reverse sensors in Skoda is installed locally. CnC installs it on the bumper aka drill holes to the bumper & put the sensor in.

Skoda cars, in this case the Superb, have specially designed locations on the bumper strip for such sensors. For some strange reasons, CnC's installer 'refuse' to put it there but insist on drilling the bumper ..... sweatdrop.gif

So, our bro here has to do it outside. Just to put it where it belongs ...... rolleyes.gif

Don't ask me why CnC's installer insist to drill holes into bumpers and not use the designated locations on the bumper strip ..... rolleyes.gif

Very OEM looking! [thumbsup]

What is the diameter of the sensors?

Did the installer remove the bumper strip and locate the designated locations for placing the sensors before drilling the holes? Or was it done with good judgement and estimation without removing the bumper strip?

I believe Skodasales has bundled in the embossed aluminium plates complete with W

the sensors is 19mm. the installer just drill a hole without removing the strip......very good judgement and skills. thumbsup.gif

The plate i do it myself at MRS which cost me $70 cos wat PDI gave me was tat plastic with double sided tape unsure.gif

skodasales ask the installer to give me 4 sensors instead of 2...steady! now the last thing is the passat wipers which he will be giving me shortly. smile.gif

passat wipers fit superb and they are those flexible types....wat i have now is the normal type and looks boring for the size of the car.
