Anyone drove to Penang before?

Is it safe to park at the shopping centres/malls there?

Thanks

Took a coach to Penang before. More than 11 hours ride, and was farking cold inside.

Want to try driving up Penang too. But as the only driver around, dont dare to try ... too tiring. Also the thought to coming back, another 7 hrs drive again... need a full day to recuperate [laugh][sweatdrop]

Penang is safe [;)]

Parking at the shopping centres is ok. But finding a parking lot by the roadside (e.g. Gurney drive, Penang road for chendol etc.) when looking for makan may be a bit headache [dizzy]

I'm also thinking of driving to Penang, mainly to enjoy the food offered there. I have 2 hotels in mind, Evergreen in Gurney drive and Bayview Georgetown. Are they ok?

Last went to penang 5 years ago [laugh]

I will be up to Klang next week to stay at my relatives Condominium FOC [cool] . From there I intend to drive up one morning to penang, stay 1 night and then come back to klang. If I drive at 'cheong' speed will I be able to reach penang from klang in 2 hours (ie cross the bride)? [:p]

The durians there are good man [cool][nod]
