I think one of the things the government can do to improve the driving conditions is to make sure that our roads are properly surfaced.  The roads in Singapore used to be so smooth.  Now they are so bumpy and undulating.  It's like driving on a washboard.  I have written to LTA many times over the last 2 years requesting that they resurface certain roads.  They refused.  I had to write to my MP and to the CEO of LTA before LTA grudgingly resurfaced some really bad roads.  We pay so much for the car and for the right to use a car.  The least they can do is give is First World Road Surfaces.

They are trying to save money by letting those contractors to resurface. Nowadays u never see any road being resurface at all except for the expressway.

 

I also complain one road which is like jigsaw puzzle like that. But LTA said that the earliest they will resurface is next April. Some roads are very bumpy n there are alway humps caused by digging n improper patching. N LTA does not care whether the contractors are patching up properly or not.

LTA now super busy la, they have to in charge of public roads, public buses and even public trains etc, where got time to solve all the feedback sent to them?!
