Dis steering lock hinge generally affects W204. So anybody who contemplates one ,try to get dis down on yr warranty. gurantee for engine & major component Wun stretch to dis,if it happens to u. Of course onli the bigger dealer will cover dis,try to buy from republic, part of see&see, normally deytake in the better ones, anyway. generally ,they cost a bit more but in case yrs gone pear shaped! It happen to me once but u can get one sorted below 1k ,NOW,I dun recommend DIY for dis. Anwae wshop give u warranty for the repair.

No RWD no tok, look how the shift to FWD is taking place in the big three and technology is making RWD obsolete for normal citi driving 4. No conti no tok, look at how Europe is going bankrupt and they are lagging behind in technology 5. No Europe not conti, LOL at this stewpig statement! Obviously by an old fart! The bottom line is, some people are just too old and stubborn to move on with technology and prefers to be stuck with their age old thinking. Just let them be. Nuff said. Why do I need to .........? The 7 speed c200 is a better car that is sorted.

Avoid short forms which others have difficulties understanding. 3. Check for typos and obvious spelling mistakes before posting. 4. keep the story simple. 5. If the above fails, just draw a diagram instead of writing a lengthy article. Tink Tink another round......... It’s all abt weight distribution and the dynamics of wheel loading during acceleration and deceleration. A FWD have weight distribution of 65% on the front wheels, and 35% on the rear. This make the car under steer. US is when you make a sudden movement of the steering wheel, and the front end of the car is slow to react and instead of immediately following your steering command, it plows ahead by partially skidding the front tires. The heavy front end with a light rear end is what causes this. For most RWD vehicles are designed with this weight split ,55% - 45% Now the weight distribution were opposite, the car would over steer, the light front end would immediately follow your steering command at the wheel, but the heavy rear end would start skidding as the tires would break loose and skid .This can cause your vehicle to spin around. Where FWD cars shine is when you are driving on icy, snowy roads where you might tend to slide sideways away from the crown of the road. For the joy of handling, fast cornering, safer handling ,better acceleration and just plain more fun for drivers, RWD cars are the jewels. *incidentally ,I do owns one of dis. The C have ........the E also have. For the Cclass ,it’s advisable to do yr homework, their model is veri wide & varried, especially the W204. The first gen is oredi more than 10 yrs old. U are in luck ,when u are contemplating one of dis cos ,quite a few have oredi renewed(COE). Earlier PQP are lower but u lose a year or so,well u win some & lose some. The overlap of model, pre face lift & the face lifted one for the 204 are mind boggling.. Dey come in 1.8,1.6,CGI ,kompressor ,turbo,7Gtronic. The best ,me reckon is the November 2011 onwards with the 7G & dis itself is rather confusing too. This is basically a face lifted models with the improved headlights but still there are many with 5Gs. As I said .........read up? Stick with the 1.6 I was told but if u fancy a 1.8 u can cross over to the E. Have a mate with his imaculate more than 10 yrs E250 CGI .it have more than 200 horses, wow What not to.......dun like? Try to request for yr own workshop inspection abt $60,before signing on the dotted line. If u dun have,u can contact me? Dun waste time on sta/Vicom,those fellas juzz tick the box, onli.

fesa7044 2nd Gear September 20, 2020 Share September 20, 2020 The 1.6 kompressor is a improved version of the 1.8 Try to get from a reputable dealer ,something like republic ,which is part of C&C . But there again ,dey generally sells car around the 5 years old mark. The TOP dealer have quite a comprehensive list of warranty Parts listed in black & white. Recently I bought one from select,my god ,there’s a Long list of warranty parts, think covers almost everything. Not like some dealer who juzz scribble on yr invoice or receipt saying sumthing like warranty on major parts like engine or transmission. The 204 have ESL issue,a steering lock thingy . If it’s covered under warranty ,so much the better. ↡ Advertisement
