Diver Neutral Newbie November 23, 2007 Share November 23, 2007 Yeah I saw tonnes of Fiats in Europe too! Maybe we should exchange notes via PM and I can follow up with them when I am in Europe again. Certainly good to see that Fiat is very much alive and kicking very hard in Europe. I even took a ride in one ... and the owner seems to have full of praises for it. ↡ Advertisement
Davedesouza Neutral Newbie November 27, 2007 Author Share November 27, 2007 Must admit that the quality of Fiats these days is very good. Met a old classmate for a class reunion recently and realised he driving a Grande Punto and was sold by how the doors closed. But seriously, the door fit is nice and tight lah. I hope TTS can soon gain more market share and make Fiat a prominent car brand here. Many people ask me why I buy a Fiat?????? I just pass them the keys for a quick spin

Diver Neutral Newbie November 29, 2007 Share November 29, 2007 (edited) Quality of FIAT cars has definitely improved, at least with the newer models. Alot of new FIATs are running around in Turkey, especially the Doblo. The taxis are running Albea. I also saw an old FIAT 500 CONVERTIBLE in Holland! Damn it was pretty! Can literally roll the canvas top back and run topless! Can see that the owner was very happy keeping it going. FIAT is definitely growing its presence in Europe. As for the SPORT button, I believe it only comes into play momentarily to increase the torque to 230Nm. I guess its somewhat similar to the overdrive button in the old autos. You can keep it on all the time but it only works when you reach cruise speed. Hmm ... I also wanna ask you WHY YOU BUY A FIAT??? Pass me your keys pls!!! Davedesouza Neutral Newbie December 13, 2007 Author Share December 13, 2007 Hi King, I changed from a old 05 Punto to the Bravo! Actually I went to test a few japanese cars but they just did not seem to make the cut - i.e. the drive and feel of a continental car. The Bravo caught my eye because of the stylish. The drive is even better. You driving an italian too ???

Normal_aspirated Clutched December 14, 2007 Share December 14, 2007 (edited) ur Fc so good....why so light footed?7-8km/l let me drive, i make sue u get give u any ride............sure can get 7-8km/L. Juz back from Cameron Highlands......noticed my LCD displayed 14.7km/L when reached bottom of the mountains and then back to normal 10-11km/L on ground zero. Issit due to thinner air up there? Probably the airflow & O2 sensors reduce fuel injected due to thin air (no wonder car seem to loose power climbing uphill there). Noticed many buses pushing out black smoke when doing so and also noticed they are exceptionally much slower too.
Enrique Neutral Newbie December 17, 2007 Share December 17, 2007 (edited) of cos the bus slow lah, u driving Stilo compare with a bus? if the bus is fast going uphill, then u might as well take a bus rather than drving ur stilo up cameron highland. If the altitude is high enough, ur car will experience power lost. however it doesn't matter much bcos the car beside u will also experience the same thing. Anyway cameron highlands is not that high lah. otherwise u urself will experience shortness of breath. Edited December 17, 2007 by Enrique
Contax 1st Gear December 18, 2007 Share December 18, 2007 I did not experience any power loss up the Genting highland which is 200m higher than cameron highland which stand at 1500m above sea level .
Normal_aspirated Clutched December 18, 2007 Share December 18, 2007 (edited) tats precisely, when i meant 3,000 to 5000 ft, and here u mentioned 1500m = approx 4500 feet or more. We all experience shortness of breath when we visited some of the farms there, coming up the slopes......
