Was looking for OPC Hyundai Getz, Verna or Kia Picanto as family second car.

Sad to see the price for Hyundai still so high and Kia Picanto only $1K lower.

Hi all,

Just curious to know anyone been to any car showrooms after Cat A COE drop by $4.6k to $12.4k?

nobody is interested on CAT A cars lah, coz no exciting new models come to market, and the ist car owners normally are the major buyers of CAT A, but the peoples who are affordable car almost all got car laio, and fuel price up, up, no one is so stupid to join the car club at this bad time. [:/]

The other day I drove by Tan Cheong in evening, after the COE dip & bo lang ley & all the sales men standing @ the entrance macham wondering where the ppl have gone 2 [laugh] . I think maybe Nissan cars not v exciting since Sunny. Latio looks bit strange maybe? 350z roadster is chio but thats a different kettle of fish I guess.

Only good deal is at Mazda, Mitsubishi and Honda. They slash their price from 3k to 4k. I think for Mazda they are trying to clear stock(maybe new Mazda 3 coming)? Expect more goodies and promotion package from them.

For Mitsubishi, it was packed, maybe with new Lancer EX being a new model attracting the crowd. Price was down 2k. Real steal will be the Lancer GLX which is going at $49 on 3 months bidding. Next door Kia was quiet.

I think the market for Cat A is not there. Most of those are present car owners who bought their car in 2004 and 2005. With the 3 years break even period and high loan, they will come into the market maybe from 2008 onwards only. So demand is really not there. Which is good, as the car agents will slash price further to boost sales. Maybe not next round of COE bidding but it will happen.

Nissan cars are the hardest to sell now. No new models, only facelift model for their MPV. Sunny, Latio, Cefiro are all old models already. Throw in bodykit also very hard to sell. Nissan is very slow in designing new cars. Their models always last for many years before they change. Hope they can be more creative and check up what customers like.

They don't drop so much in anticipation of a possible spike in orders due to lower COE.

Its not a boring car. [sly]

Its a car that will bring constant excitment, an increase in blood pressure & heartbeat rate plus infuse an influx of emotions - when you look at the rapidly dropping fuel guage and the even more meteoric rising petrol cost [laugh][laugh][laugh]

Anyone still dare to say the Sunny is a boring car? [sly]
