I heard from a friend whose father needs kidney dialysis. It seems that because he stay in condo (ie private), therefore cannot go to NKF for dialysis. So, now LL have to do for dialysis via private clinic. About $2,500 / mth.

I am shocked leh...

True or now??

Anybody knows?

Yes its true. Becos NKF have limited funds. So they need to prioritise who to give subsidy to.

Basically, in SG, if you stay in private property, you can forget about getting subsidies.

wah then like that the people staying in condo can stop donating to NKF.

HDB flat in Kim Tian cost more than condo at other places also......so using residential address singularly as a gauge is wrong.

Eh I dono true or not. I can just quote my own case.

My father-in-law stays in 5rm flat in Toa Payoh was denied subsidized treatment cos he has 2 kids who is working. NKF nvr factored in the kids got own family to support. I was so pissed that I stop my donation to them.

I stop donating long before the NKF saga, when I found out TT Durian & team are having Mandarin Hotel's chicken rice for lunch during meeting [shakehead][shakehead] What's wrong with the chicken rice from whampoa hawker centre? [thumbsdown]

i think some people might be living with other relatives or something... so if really judging by residential address then its way off.. i think it should be a case by case basis.. [:)]

You might like to advise your friend to visit/call Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF) at Ketar Aryer (wrong spelling) or Clementi Ave 5.

is there a difference between these 2 kidney foundation?? btw its Kretar Ayer.
