The show's into its second season already. I've just got the season 1, boy, it's amazing the skills you can learn from this dude. Maybe not applicable for some of us here, but its interesting to note.

It is a nice show, but I still don't believe elephant pooh is sterile and you can drink from it.

I think he's ex-SAS. Since the operate all over the world, they need to learn about all climates and terrains. unlike SEA troops who only need to learn about local terrains and climates.

Great show.

 

But there's one report that claimed that in some episodes, he was seen staying up in some houses instead of living in the wild during filming. And Discovery Channel admitted doing so. But, I am fine with that since it is the suvival skills that we can learn from the show. We definitely don't want him to die while doing the show.

Ha... just like this Paul Potts was found out later that he had undergone some opera training before taking part in Britain's got Talent!

 

Anyway, I think the camera crew also quite tough hor... to follow him throughout the journey. I wonder if there's a "making-of" episode?

Some part can be quite questionable. Like the one he jump into the icy waters(I think its -20degs) and had to walk another 1 mile to a thermal hot-spring to warm up. I think the camera man also jump in....

 

I dont think its quite possible. U go home try dipping into ice fill bath tub for 2 mins then stand in front of 3-4 blowing fans for 20 mins in totally wet clothes. See u can last for 10 seconds or not ? U cant even move, let alone walk one mile.

ya..i know. But the part of him getting out of the river and the journey to the hot spring was not shown.

 

It was icy waters then thermal hot spring. They could have easily shown 10-20 seconds of him getting out of the river and the short journey there. Hmmmmmm.......
