did anyone experienced near accident involving another person?

a near accident happened just outside the redhill mrt station this mornz, didnt catch the full happening, only heard the screeching of the tyres and the next moment, a boy was sitting on the road in front of a MPV....

the driver hurriedly got down to attend to the boy, as usual, crowds start to gather and the light was actually in the driver's favour.. The boy seemed to be in shock coz when other passers by talked to him, he was like, stunned and nt responding..

well, m rather glad that tis only a near accident and tt nothing happened, thank goodness, but really wondered wat was gg thru the driver and the boy's mind...

the driver was like in a turmoil, coz too many witnesses and he'd seem to be the one at fault since he's the one driving, tho the light's in his favour, naturally most'd pitied the boy bahz.. so just wanna find out what'd u do if ya the driver/ boy? will anyone try to extort thgy outta the driver if they'r in the boy's position or? hmmmz....

Its a good thing that no accident occured.

Nobody wants to get involved in accidents.

Its really not worth all the hassle.

Pedestrians and drivers alike should be alert at all times.

Cheers.

I also saw a something simlar happen at yishun.

Apparently this plump boy was waiting at the centre divider to cross the road. Somehow he miss-step and got hit by a passing Sunny. Wahhh...front bonnet kena flat dent from the boy landing on it. Strangely the boy stood up as if nothing happen. The Driver was intially very concern on the boy...but slowly the driver became angry. I think he wants the boy to admit its his fault and pay for the bonnet repair. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

A few years back, while going to school at the early hours of 6am.

I was waiting to cross the road at a traffic light junction.

It was a two lane road.

One stationary school bus next to the center divider was about to move off as the light had turned green in its favour.

However a youngish school girl, likely primary 1 or 2, was still crossing the road. This stationary school bus driver did not horn or move, thereby allowing this little girl to complete the crossing.

Bearing in mind the traffic light is already green, then came a fast moving SBS bus oblivion to the little girl still crossing the road. Being blindsoptted by the school bus which is on the right lane(the SBS bus is on the left lane).

When the girl step out of the blind spot of the SBS bus, the distance to impact is only half a bus length. The SBS zhamed brake, I distinctly can heard the ABS of the SBS bus working, though there was no tire screeching. I was thinking SHEET SHEET SHEET, the impact is going to be just two meters in front of me.

Miraculously, the SBS bus managed to STOP just 30cm away from impacting the little girl. All thanks to the super reaction bus driver and the good brakes/tires!

The little girl was SUPER COOL...she continued crossing the street and carry on with her crossing WITHOUT batting an eyelid or even LOOK at the SBS bus/driver. Pure Bliss in her little mind going along to her school, not realising that her gardian angel just saved her life!

The SBS driver was visible shocked and stopped his bus there and STARED at the little girl from his side mirror in disbelief!

Luckily, it's jus a near accident but it would for sure leave a very very deep implant of that particular scenerio across the mind of both the driver & the kid for a long long while [sweatdrop][lipsrsealed][lipsrsealed]

If i'm the driver, i will dismount from my vehicle to check out on this kiddo even though the traffic light is on my favour [:/] But for sure, some of those passerby who did not really witness what happened will add sugar & salt from there [:|]

yarz lohz... tt's why dunno wat was gg thru the mind of the driver and the boy...

seems like they'd change attitude to switch the situation to their favour... tink the driver tt ya mentioned's like tis onez lohz... initially scared then wanna pl the blame on the lil kid... imagine if the kid makes a huge fuss, tink the driver will try to quiet him down instead of becoming angry with the boy bahz....

but usu wat will the person who had a near accident do? will they demand compensation altho it seems like they'r okay?

I'm not sure whether you ppl have the same feeling but I think the kids nowadays seems to think its fun or cool to just amble along the road or traffic light. It seems to me that the dun feel the danger crossing roads. I will try to reach the other side of the road as soon as possible even if the little green man is in my favour

Yes. During my 2nd driving test.

This fu*king kid riding a bicycle chiong across traffic light right in front of me (light in my favor) and I was going at 40km/hr abt 5 mtrs from him..... actually, when I notice him from the corner of my eyes (left pavement), I was wondering if he will stop or not.... then he chiong. B4 the test instructor pull the handbrake, I jammed it already ( [sly][sly] ebrake test). I long horn the hell out of the kid and he was stunt stop in my path, abt 1/2 mtrs from me... he wave sorry and continue cycling across the rd (the green light still in my favor). The test instructed looks a bit stunt and look at me, and I shout FU*KING CB at the kid.

I passed my test tat day (bukit batok driving centre) [:p][sweatdrop][smash]

Bro, you have met a partial test instructor [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup] and your reactions are as per what a normal motorist would have reacted [laugh][laugh][laugh]
