BT reports that gov could soon hold a tender for a motorsports track somewhere at Changi...

quite possible if no one bids for it.

 

it's like the IR bidding, so if no one thinks it'll make money then it won't get built.

 

i doubt the gov will want to fund and run it...

Today newspaper reported that some local company has got the rights to host FIA GT races here.

 

This supports the ST report that we'll get a proper track...

 

SINGAPORE will host its first Formula 1 race on Sept 28, 2008..

 

And if all goes according to plan, the Republic will host one leg of the FIA's Grand Touring 1 (GT1) Championship in 2009.

 

GT1 category cars, like the Aston Martin DBR9, Maserati MC 12 and Lamborghini Murci

Singapore got track better. Ppl zing their ride go malaysia and kana stolen only.

 

Track days can also help to cooldown dangerous driver a bit [cool]

having a proper track will reduce the amount of speeding and reckless driving on the roads.

 

because those drivers would have gone to the track and speed till sian liao.

Great to have a proper race track here [thumbsup] AT least it'll get drivers to exhaust their energies in a safe and confined space.

 

Downdiide is, I'm sure ROV will be wating outside with the PDA to note all the car reg # [furious]
