So you guys will recommend me to look for a 8-9 years remaining COE allion for family transport usage?

I got myself an COE 2008 Allion, with previous 1 owner only. Been driving it for 1 month, 3 thing I like are the Comfort, Stability and Low Fuel Consumption @ 15-16km/litre.

The above 3 things are better compared my previous Nissan Sylphy 1.5.

For family transport usage, Allion is definitely suitable 👍🏻

Had a Fielder (Axio with wagon boot) and Allion for about 4 years in total. As shared here, the width is narrow, so with 2 baby seats yes can fit, but you'll have to occupy both side seats and only a wee bit of the centre will be available to put barang. Cannot squeeze in a third adult if you're wondering.

The CVT takes getting used to, but when you do, it can actually pickup fast (as fast as a 1.5 can go la) but it tends to want to keep the revs low unless you stomp really hard. The CVTs last really long. I was using examples with about 150k km and no sign of issues, can race regular 1.6 cars easily if stepping hard.

120 and above? yes definitely floaty if all stock. the famous lifeless steering doesn't help either.

But just to go A to B around Singapore, why not.

Hi guys.

I'm keen to get a COE allion.

Any thing i should look out for?

How do I check if car wasn't used as PHV before?

CVT failure. Happened to my 2008 Allion. Car is reaching 10 years so i dumped it. Common problem among Allion, Axio, Premio manufactured around the period. If i am not wrong there is a recall for it

Enjoy the good FC. I owned it for about 2 yrs9mth.

Without trying hard can get around 14 to 15km/L.

Also the big rear leg space.

If the car is well maintained,  getting good FC is not difficult for this car without trying hard.

But do take note most of the Allion on the road are from 08 - 09... all quite old and many used by PHV driver. Condition will be hard to judge.

Hi! Thanks for your reply!

Car had around 180k and 17" rims. Went to sta and got B.

Went to workshop, everything seemed ok. Did a major servicing and changed all the fluids to be safe. Cvt oil came out red, so I'm optimistic that the previous owner did maintenance.

Coming from an auto gearbox, the cvt drives a little strange.

At times when I lift my foot off the accelerator, there is a bit of a jerk and the rpm jumps a bit.

When trying to auto roll e.g. moving from stationary without accelerating, it seems barely able to move.

Your rim might be an oversize for this model.

Happen u need to change your tyres- do consider changing to a smaller rim plus tyres (Save in FC and tyres costs too)

Thanks for advice!

I have them with some Bridgestones so probably will wait a year or two to see how it goes!

Not sure of the fc as yet.

@tom987  You may have depressed the gas pedal abit hard then released quickly, but this never happened to my previous '09 Allion. Also rolling off from stationary is also ok, u might consider getting the cvt gearbox checked, could be tyres also as old & worn tyres have higher rolling resistance. Allion is a very good car!!!

Hopefully it's just me needing time to get used to it.

Will monitor for now!

Thanks for your advice!

Hi just got my Allion about a month ago. So far so good. But there are some parts that require replacement. Any idea where can I get the side air con vents and also the ctr media panel cover?

@Tjpt same as me!

My Aircon vents were broken too. Not sure why that is. The dealer super-glued it back together.

I saw someone selling the center Aircon vents for around 100 on carousell. Maybe can try asking them.

Or maybe can try those scrap yard.

What's your FC though? Haha.
