Mercuri Neutral Newbie October 13, 2007 Share October 13, 2007 for my previous car, i change brake shoe on 2nd change of brake pad. cos most of the braking power is from the front brakes. rear brakes not so much effect on the braking.
Passion 5th Gear October 13, 2007 Author Share October 13, 2007 when is the 2nd interval of change of brake shoe?i mean as in what's the mileage?
Mercuri Neutral Newbie October 13, 2007 Share October 13, 2007 i cant really remember... i believed it was 160k when i changed. i usually take it as front brake pad change at every 80-100K, then on second 80-100k change front and rear. but you let the mechanic evaluate if there is a need to change the brake shoe lah... usually waer on rear brake shoe much lesser than the front. u doing the brake shoe change yourself? can be quite "siong" as need some special tools when getting the springs out.
