Silver_blade Turbocharged October 10, 2007 Share October 10, 2007 Interesting list. Knowing how these judges can select weird winner (except for this year's)...I bet Nissan Qashqai will win. But my vote will probably go for either Mondeo (everything...price, style, engine, handling, etc..) or fiat 500 (style)

Friendstar Supercharged October 10, 2007 Share October 10, 2007 well its only in singapore that we shun korean cars far far away. i'm now in sweden, and there'r more kia than toyota. i cant even see a wish in sweden!
Soonalvin Neutral Newbie October 10, 2007 Share October 10, 2007 Kia C'eed was designed and built in Europe is it? It looks rather progressive, nothing like most of the Koreans for sale in Singapore. My vote goes for the Mondeo too! The budget Bond Car.

Kelpie 2nd Gear October 10, 2007 Share October 10, 2007 Fiat 500 Ford Mondeo Kia cee’d (first time Korean car got into the finals!) Mazda 2 Mercedes C-class Nissan Qashqai Peugeot 308. The winner will be announced on November 19th. Mondeo all the way! Surprised to see Qashqai, which was bashed by Top Gear as neither here nor there. Silver_blade Turbocharged October 10, 2007 Share October 10, 2007 Yup, It's is designed and built in Europe and for europe. It's not exactly cheap either....as fully specs one is only around 2-3k cheaper than a Golf and slightly cheaper than a Astra. But the standard has been raised by a few mark...and hopefully the european will warm up to a korean car.

Elfenstar 3rd Gear October 10, 2007 Share October 10, 2007 simple. have a look at the eligibility criteria. Most COTY (car of the year) series impose time rules (i.e vehicle has to be sold new within a certain time frame), in addition most also have rules on vehicles having to be newly designed (i.e. facelifts, panel changes, etc don't count).
