I have test sitted in this car at the Expo Carnival. It put me off straight away! The driver's seat is extremely low and uncomfortable. Plastic felt like tupperware!

I am not putting off China cars. I think they have great potential but need time to improve!

CK is their very first own design car (of course with the help with others). If this model quality is almost on par with Japanese car then.... Japanese car will have no place to stand!

However chinese car industry have great potential in the near future.

any bros own this car? i just read the review on carma mag.. seems they rate it as above average as a everyday car..

the interior looks not bad.. only think i feel its it is quite cramped inside..

using toyota 1.5l licensed engine.. they dun build their own.

worth it?

seems that this car's review much better than chery qq.

I didin't know CK actually means King Kong. In that case, it should have been either named Geely KK or Geely CKK (China King Kong).

I went to see the CK and MK at the Exclusive exhibition at Suntec last weekend.

I don't have a car and seldom drive. So far, only driven conti (bro's Pug 407), korean (bro's old Tuscani) and Toyota vios.

Not impressed with the CK. It failed my door test miserably. Basically, I would close the door at my normal strength. The CK's door failed to close. Some how, the rubber sealant seems to prevent it. I had to use strength to slam the door. I dun have this problem with the 407 because the door is damm heavy as well as the toyota. At the same exhibition was the Skoda Octavia and Roomster. Both doors have the typical conti solid feel.

Another thing to note, I felt the door handles to be pretty flimsy. Also notice that the paint job was not as thick as I would expect (I look at the interior frame of the door)

The interior was plasticky. Didn't expect much from a cheap car and so was not very surprised. However, I think the design could be better. I know it is meant to be cheap, but being cheap and pretend to be expensive will make it even more stupid. What I meant is, the fascia, dials and such should be kept simple. Trying to execute that interior with cheap material only makes it worse. I would have been happy with simple, no fuss designs which can be cheap, yet functional. My bro's first car was a Seat Ibiza, simple 1L car with wind up windows. But at least the interior not bad, simple but bombproof and looks solid.

It is my two cents. Not trying to trash chinese cars, but i think the execution could be better. There are ways to build cheap cars which looks decent and functional.

hi all, would like to comment after drivin my friend geely ck 1.5manual. outlook wise the interior is pretty platics like and cheap, exterior is ok except for the headlamp which in my opinion looks abit ugly. expected that cos cant expect much from a cheap china made car. however 2 good points for this car. first the chassis is made from a pretty solid material, very hard and solid, especially the bonnet. when u open the bonnet, its v heavy and ladies maybe will need both hand to lift the bonnet up. so i kinda feel safe for the engine :) secondly the engine sounds exactly like a japan made engine, very bassy and deep. no joke. i have started engine of picanto, getz, accent and verna at carmart when i shop for cars. these korean cars engine are really noisy after clockin high mileage. so if u are lookin for an affordable, point to point transport. a geely is highly recommended. (Y) also from far i find that my friend geely logo looks like a Bmw logo LOL
